Steam Engine Blueprints & 3d Models

This is just a quick gallery of some the steam engine projects I had been working on over the last year. I enjoy the distraction from my other work to develop these designs and then simulate the working mechanics to better understand how they work.

The representation of the model with transparency I think helps to demonstrate the complexity of these designs.

All these designs are modelled to an accuracy of 0.01mm with the majority now having fully detailed working drawings dimensioned with both mm and inch sizes. To date at least one of these models has actually been built by a third party from the working drawings supplied. I understand the final product worked exceptionally well.

    Do you sell or share your blue prints? You’ve done some beautiful work. I’m looking for Prints for a model steam roller in 3/4″ or something like your models. No instructions just complete blueprints. Thanx
